“A song doesn’t have to be loud to reach someone. It only has to be honest.”
I write about what actually happens: doubt, closeness, the argument I keep having with myself, and the small moments where everything makes sense again. Sometimes that is a guitar and a voice. Sometimes it is a full beat. Sometimes German, sometimes English. Always the truth as I had it that day.
If a song carries someone through a bad night, or puts words to a feeling they couldn’t name themselves, it did its job. That is the entire reason I keep making them.
